The Strange 83-150K NS NDP Tax Cut Explained

"High-income surtax cut for >$83k/yr income. It's great to see $83,941.86 salary next to MLA's in Public Accounts. Thanks @NSNDP. #nsbudget", from Greg Lawson. No idea who he is, but that's a good point, and illustrates economic incoherence and political ineptitude in one stroke. In a province that has gone through massive unending political scandals about MLAs' feathering their nests, this is the brilliant tax cut given by the NDP in their big budget? Genius.

Also three good points from Andrew Younger MLA:
# Many of the working poor don't get a tax rebate in the NDP budget #nsbudget #nspolitics about 5 hours ago via UberTwitter
# Cabinet ministers get a tax breal in the NDP budget by dropping the surtax and middle income folks in Nova Scotia will pay more #nspolitics about 5 hours ago via UberTwitter
# The Tories say they managed the province's finances well in gov't, and the NDP say they are managing them well now - it is April Fool's Day 9:38 AM Apr 1st via UberTwitter
