The Russian presidential aide Sergei Prikhodko has been quoted saying ahead of an upcoming meeting with the Fatah ruled authority in the West Bank slated today, that Fatah should take into account the diligence of Hamas.
According to Sergei Prikhodko the Middle East conflict can be resolved “Through political dialogue and by taking into account the political position of Hamas.”
“We think it necessary to take into account the reality. Hamas is a real political force, and everyone should give heed to them, at least to the degree to which they reflect the opinion of their voters,” the aide said ahead of President Dmitry Medvedev’s upcoming visit to the West Bank.
