Save Omar Khadr, Save Our Souls

Omar Khadr should NEVER have been held longer than needed for medical treatment and identification. He should have been free, at home, in Canada, long, long ago. He should be today. He should be yesterday. He was a CHILD soldier. The entire population of Canada, all 34+ Million of us, minus Harper and a few hangers on, should have, and should now, rise up to defend the rights, health and safety of one of our CHILDREN. The media, given their outright collective evil behaviour in the Arar case, truly an example of journalism gone not just bad, but evil, should have fought, and should fight, tooth and nail, nonstop, to make amends through all similar cases (though you can never make amends for helping to prolong an innocent man's detention, and any man's torture, and then slander him when home. Sicko bastards). Arar should not have to plead guilty to iniquitous charges in a twisted, perverted system. He should never have spent a day in punitive detention, and never a day more. He should be home now. Home, in Canada. Goddamn Bush+, Martin+, Harper+ & Obama+. The first Federal leader to stand up for Khadr without weasel words, to meet his lawyer, for a good while the only one, was Stéphane Dion. Now who? Shame on us. Save Khadr. Save our souls.
