I was curious to see what would be 1st round of Con responses to Weston etc., & all fair observers calling BS. Spector doesn't disappoint. Fog & empty intimidation. Go check precedents. Given Spector's logic, Govt should be enthusiastic to refer this to SCC. But they are not. Gee, I wonder why. Because there is no issue, as Nicholson recognised.
This is just first round of attempted fog, delay & intimidation tactics. There will be more. They must must summarily knocked down and dismissed. The Cons will try every ridiculous time-wasting tactic to slow things down. Parliament has not just the right, but given Govt's behaviour, OBLIGATION, now, to reassert itself and get documents. Contempt Motion Now. Documents Now. Now!
