Christopher Burch - The Sleep Of Reason

"Christopher's aim is to create a visual language that captures the ectoplasmic echoes existing between laughter and death, the space between erasure and presence, the conflict between the singular and multiplicity, the uncanny ability of the comedic to show the vulnerable, the horrific, the morbid, the schizophrenic, and the ghostly, all at the same blurring moment in time." - quote source

Works on display June 4th thru June 26th at the Hoffman Lachance Contemporary Art Gallery in Saint Louis, Missouri. Images taken from the gallery website.

And it's worth mentioning the reference of the show title, Francisco De Goya's "The Sleep Of Reason Produces Monsters" as expressed in one of his master works, the series of 80 engravings titled Caprichos.
