I understand what the National Post is about, and what Ivison is paid to do, and hey-ho, c'est la vie, but this "
Nothing baffling about Day’s crime comments" is a bit much, especially from a guy who engaged in some very creative "revisionism" recently, along with
Selley, and has not yet had the basic decency to correct his factual error, which debunks his entire premise and piece (Selley neither). Ok, fight your corner, fine. But do you have to cheat and lie? If there's one admirable thing about Scots, generally, it's their sense of honour. C'mon man. Play up. Or if honestly unaware, educate yourself:
John Ivison: Liberals’ political revisionism over RCMP chief Yeah, umm, but...
"We have concerns about this appointment," Liberal Leader Stephane Dion said of Elliott on CTV's Question Period. "As we know, he was well involved in the Conservative party during Mr. Mulroney's time. He was the chief of staff of the deputy prime minister. So we have concerns." Dion said the appointment was an "irresponsible decision" on the part of the prime minister, especially when the RCMP is fighting to rebuild its credibility. "I think it was a key appointment and the decision of the prime minister is very questionable," Dion said on Sunday.

@gmacofglebe @parsob is this the "near unanimity" John Ivison refers to @wicary?: "concerns about appointment, irresponsible decision" http://bit.ly/aR0jcY

@gmacofglebe This seems odd. No quotes from the Libs from 07 RT @nationalpost: John Ivison: Liberals’ political revisionism http://natpo.st/9KZHxb

@gmacofglebe RT @parsob: @gmacofglebe Astute observers such as yourself will recall that Dion called the appointment "reckless and irresponsible"

@gmacofglebe As @parsob noted- Ivison's column on the Lib position at the time of Elliot's apt. seems to missing the Lib position at the time. #cdnpoli

@gmacofglebe Makes me wonder one's understanding of the term "revisionist".
