Props To Spector On Mid-East
Une fois ne fait pas coutume. But Spector is absolutely right today, on Mid-East. I'm glad to see some things are important enough to be serious about. And when you reflect on his comments, and add them to Caplan's serious reflection on the possible domestic implications regarding social cohesion, I hope all Canadians will think deeply and clearly about these questions, and approach them carefully, speaking to the better angels of their and others' natures, and not to our worst instincts. Giving free rein to our worst instincts is not just bad, stupid & counterproductive, it is really very dangerous, for Canadians and Canadian interests abroad, and, worryingly, at home, in Canada.
