Flotilla Activist's Shot at Close Range in the Head

Many of the activists killed at Mavi Marmara was shot at close range.


Autopsy results show that the activists were shot with 9 mm ammunition and that many were shot at close range.Büyük Yalcin, vice-chairman of Turkey's board of medical advice, say that five of the nine Turkish activists who were killed when Israeli commando squads stormed the last convoy, was shot in the head.

Results of the autopsy shows that 60-year-old Ibrahim Bilge was shot four times in the temple, the chest, hips and the back.

The 19-year-old Fulkan Dogan, who was also a U.S. citizen, was shot five times from a distance of less than 45 centimeters. He was shot in the face, back of the head, twice in the leg and once in the back.

Two other men was shot by four shots at close range. Five of those killed was shot in the head and or in the back.

Besides those killed, further 48 people were shot and injured.

Israel claims the number of shots were fired in self-defense .

Some people on board the ships are missing, there are possible more than nine people killed .
