I debated writing this because I'd prefer to downplay it and discourage friction, and one would normally assume that NDP leadership is following these questions closely and has already got the message, but remembering how NDP leadership messed up on this theme once before, and thinking about how tomorrow & next weeks might go, I think it's important to make sure it doesn't happen again and everyone's on same page, as much as possible. So please NDP, consider this a friendly between periods reminder from a teammate to play it straight, and not cheat, or get out of position.
Some of the stuff on Saturday was beneath you, I would have hoped, as Shilo Davis & others have admonished you. This is bigger than any of us. I appreciate that Dippers are an enthusiastic bunch and that's great, and very helpful to CAPP & all the good guys, the vast majority of Canadians who are good faith democrats, and that that enthusiasm will inevitably go overboard sometimes, but you wouldn't want anyone to get the impression you were intentionally trying to hijack the thing, now would you? I'm sure that's not the case, of course, but you must be careful, because if that was the impression given, it would hurt CAPP & all the good guys, and not just the NDP. So maybe a word to your membership, sotto vocce, to keep the enthusiasm but lose the excessive partisanship, eh? I have no doubt that the vast majority of Dippers were completely noble in their conduct, but again, a significant rogue minority hurts everyone, eh? :) I did a cost benefit calculation re. whether I should even mention it, not wanting to give it any attention, but the harm that might be done by future misguided excesses seems to outweigh the risk of highlighting it. Anyway, like all good faith democrats, non-partisan & multi-partisan, all the best, keep up the good fight, you're doing great, generally.
